Why we need your money

Our focus for this year is raising awareness of the C of E's General Synod Elections in the summer. Now more than ever, it is crucial that the traditional, open, inclusive voice of Anglicanism is heard. We are working with our partners and across the country to help make sure that as many people as possible know about the elections - that good candidates are standing - and that everything possible is done to try to bring about a fully inclusive and welcoming church.

Inclusive Church needs £50,000 per year to achieve our aims and work effectively. This will give us enough to be able to ensure that the inclusive voice is heard properly in the debates in the church at the moment. We want to make sure that women, LGBT people, people from ethnic minorities, people with disabilities - all! - can play their part in the life God has called them to. We need the money to ensure that we can work to achieve the wider aims of Inclusive Church - to celebrate and build on the traditional open and inclusive Gospel we preach and try to live.

We have already raised over £35,000 which has enabled us to employ Clare Herbert as our Coordinator. She is, among other things, organising a new introductory course for new Christians, developing our presence around the country, working to ensure our voice is heard in Synod, and providing resources and support for inclusive parishes around the country.

You can help! You can make a standing order of only £5/month for two years which will support us to the tune of £120. If that is Gift Aided the amount increases by 28%. Or you could give £10/month, or £20/month or whatever you can afford.... or you can send us a cheque for, say, £100, which, if that is GiftAided, increases to £128. We can reclaim tax on all UK donations if you send us a completed Gift Aid form with your donation.
